Melbourne singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Majella, born Tri Nguyen, fell in love with music as a kid and travelled through Europe as a DJ and backup dancer in his early 20s. Never one to sit still, he returned and locked himself in his parent’s tin shed and turned his focus on producing music for himself under the moniker of ‘Majella’ - named for an Irish songstress he met on his travels, who touched him so deeply he tattooed her name across his chest in Vietnamese calligraphy.

Now 24, he shares his self-produced music that showcases his taste for intricately layered rhythms playfully put alongside dreamily cinematic instrumentals, setting the stage for clever and catchy vocal performances.

Every instrument played by Majella is written and performed by Nguyen and recorded in his home studio in inner North Melbourne.
